Today we are proud to announce that, funded by the European Union we have started an Interegg CrossRoads Flanders- Netherlands together with our project partners Vestjens Straw Products and Glue Solutions. In this project, called BIOBLOW Bounded insolution, we want to glue, bio hydrophobize and bio fire retardant the only certified blow-in insulation for walls, so that it can be used as full-fledged insulation not only in a wall, but also as cavity and floor insulation.
It is common knowledge that insulation is a must, but also that traditional insulation is generally not sustainable. Traditional insulation materials require a great deal of energy to manufacture, and they are also difficult or impossible to recycle. They usually contained hazardous substances for humans and the environment.
Our innovation requires hardly any energy, lowers CO2 emissions, and the system is also vapor-open, making it healthy living.
